[12:04 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: Lucifel was studying within Wizard Point's famed library, dedicated to the great mage Alaro in the hopes that scholars from across the land would visit in the hopes of gaining similar inspiration. The tactic didn't seem to be particularly effective at a first glance however, and the building was mostly empty of visitors save for Lucifel's dapper form. He was using his downtime laze about in a plush armchair while reading up on... dancing, of all things. Judging by his rather perplexed expression, Lucifel was having a spot of trouble digesting the product of his studies.
[12:54 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: Jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Millie stared at Lucifel from behind a bookshelf warily. What the heck was he doing here? Why was he here? Was he following her? Was he actually trying to kill her? Whatever the reason he was here like he was in Maufi. Millie debated on what to do. Should she go up and interrogate him? Run away? Kill him? Her red bow seemed to twitch in anticipation with it's host, listening for any movement. Dancing? Why the heck would the Chief of Intelligence want to know about dancing? Unsure of what to make Lucifel himself, Millie began to judge his choice of book. Millie had never liked dancing as a child, and viewed it as an inferior hobby compared to swordfighting. Regardless, she was probably better than Lucifel anyways. That buffon probably couldn't even waltz without tripping over himself. Unbeknownst to Millie, the bookshelf that she was hiding behind wasn't tall enough to hide her bow. If Lucifel were to look over he could easily notice Millie's signature accessory.
[2:04 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: "If you're interested in people-spotting, I might be able to give you a tip or two." Lucifel matter-of-factly said aloud, not bothering to look up from his book. "I can't claim to be as much of an expert at eavesdropping as my informants, but I've picked up a bit of skill." Turning to the bookcase Millie was partially obscured behind, he offered her a kind smile. "Notably, I'd suggest being more mindful of your appearance, so you don't stand out so much."
[2:10 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: "Eep" Millie ducked down behind the bookcase, realizing her bow had given off her position. whatdoidowhatdoidowhatdoido Millie began to slightly panic. She wasn't sure how to approach Lucifel at all. Should she treat him as an enemy? Would he try to kill her? Did he even kill people? Looking back over she peeked over the bookcase again, trying to see what he was thinking. "Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be in Psari?"
[3:11 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: "Ah, but you see, I'm actually here to follow you, Millie! You can run, but you have no chance of escaping me until I discover your secrets, muahaha-" Lucifel suddenly cut himself off as he remembered he was in a public library. He looked around frantically at the empty room around them before finally breathing a sigh of relief. "Sorry, I kid. I actually joined Zain and his squad even before you- Though my talents concern solving the mysteries at hand rather than providing combat assistance." Lucifel grimaced wryly. "I'm sure you can imagine why."
[3:19 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: Millie jumpd at his sudden outburst. This was a library, why was he laughing so loud? But the surprises just kept coming. He knew about the pack, and that she too was part of of it. She had no idea how she felt about that. But what surprised her the most wasn't that. No, when they first met Lucifel seemed extremely guarded and cautious. Even revealing his name seemed to be against his conscience. But here he was, telling her about his involvement with Zain. Millie didn't know how to react. She kinda just stood there dumbfounded, hoping a librarian wouldn't come and chew them out. "Oh... uh yea...sure."(edited)

[3:22 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: He gestured to the seat next to himself. "Come on, join me. I'm trained in a myriad of social arts, but none of them apply to people hiding behind bookcases." Lucifel chuckled. "Truth is, I've been meaning to apologize about our first meeting. I was..." He paused as the young man considered his words. "Needlessly harsh. I let my emotions get the better of me, and likely made an already traumatic event worse on you."
[3:38 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: Millie cautiously moved out from behind the bookcase, but didn't sit just yet. She held a pallo dictionary up, almost as if she was trying to hide behind it. But as Lucifel apologized from their last meeting, she slowly lowered it. "O-ok." She looked around as if she was about to get attacked before cautiously sitting down in the chair. "I-I'm sorry for last time too. I wasn't having a good day, and you came out of nowhere. I wasn't really prepared to handle it...Since it was 2 years since I last really thought of it." She still clung to the dictionary, as if it was her stuffed animal. She had left Kiko at the convoy, since she was worried she'd lose him again. "Did you know...Caspin?" The last word came out cautiously, as if Caspin himself woulf rise from the dead and stab her.(edited)

[4:01 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: Lucifel shook his head. "Not... entirely. I knew of him, just as I knew of you. But no, my real correspondence was with his father, who was a friend of mine." "Seeing that his father was the only point of reference for me, I'm sure you can see why I would immediately jump to the conclusion that the death of his son was an attempt to lash out at him." He grimaced. "In hindsight, it was a perilous assumption, and one embarrassing for a man of my station."
[4:34 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: Millie still felt a bit uncomfortable sitting next to Lucifel. She felt like an animal trapped in a corner. One wrong move, one wrong word and he would pounce. "I-I see." She had only met Castillus once, and it was only for a brief moment. Even among most nobles, Castillus scared Millie. He wasn't fat like most of them, and seemed to examine anything he saw for an exploit. It made her feel exposed, and she hated it. "Then..Did you tell him...What actually happened?" She wished she had Kiko with her right now. Even if Lucifel mocked her, the stuffed animal would provide some for of comfort and security.

[9:15 AM] Ego Engine Deallocated: Lucifel quietly observed Millie for a moment before responding. "...It wouldn't serve any purpose. It's a matter best kept in the past. Castillus has finally put the matter behind him, and I wouldn't want to pain him further by bringing it up again. I may be a cruel man, but even I would hesitate to force that sorrow upon him anew. No matter whether by intention or mistake, his son is dead, and no amount of info I could provide him with will change that fact." The well-dressed informant stared off into space. "And... were I to tell him how I came by knowledge of your innocence, I'd inevitably be asked why I didn't drag you back to Rettatti so you could talk to him yourself." He offered her a small smile, though it was little more than a grimace. "No, it's for the best that it unknown, for all concerned parties."
[4:25 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: Millie relaxed, and her tension unraveled like a wound rubber band. She let the book she was clutching drop to her chest, and she could see the impression marks left from holding it too tightly. "Thank you." Although returning to Maufi would still probably be out of the question, if Castillus had finally ended his pursuit she could finally sleep with both eyes closed. Maybe he's not that bad of a guy after all. She tilted her head over to look at him again. She still felt conflicted about Lucifel, but she supposed she didn't hate him out right. But now it felt awkward. Really awkward.

[2:31 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: He shrugged, apparently oblivious to her discomfort. "Don't thank me; I didn't make my decision because of you. You just so happened to benefit from it." Lucifel leveled an even gaze at her. "What brings you to the library, anyway? Assuming you weren't just stalking me up until now, and I only just noticed."(edited)
[10:49 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: Millie's bow twitched again. As a child her mother had always thought it had a mind of it's own, but Millie herself didn't really care. "Oh, I came here to study a bit on runeblades. But since alot of the advanced books were in Pallo, I sort if studied how to read and write Pallo as well." Studying at the library reminded her of cramming for tests back in her school days. Except that now that it was at her choice it felt a lot less stressful. "And just so you know, throwing swords work better if they have the proper runes." She said the last bit defensively, knowing very well Lucifel knew what it meant.

[4:23 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: "You're teaching yourself Paolo?" An eyebrow was raised, showing Lucifel as visibly impressed. "My, I never took you for much of a scholar. Its refreshing to see somebody as young as yourself pursuing their goals so earnestly."
[11:59 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: "Rettatian private school felt much harder than Nicirian public schools. Most of the stuff didn't even need studying." Millie grumbled with her head propped on her arm. As a child she had trouble making friends, so there wasn't much to do. Either practice swordplay or study for school. Old habits die hard. "What about you? Learning to be a dancer?"

[1:49 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: Lucifel adopted what could have almost been a pouting expression on somebody less stately. "You weren't supposed to see that." he said, holding the book up so the cover was visible once again. "Not a dancer per se, but I was hoping to gain a bit more insight into the art itself. You see, as an esteemed high-ranking Rettatese, I'm often invited to social funct-" He broke off abruptly with a sigh. "Augh, there's no real use hiding it." Lucifel glanced Millie's way with an even expression. "You'll keep a secret, yes? I'm sure I don't need to remind you how it would be in your best interests, given what I know about you."
[2:12 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: Millie rolled her eyes but nodded. She secretly loved secrets. Back in Rettatia knowing a few good rumors could make you friends pretty easily, and in some cases girls would exchange secrets like currency. "What kind of dirt do you have?" She smirked as she eyed Lucifel curiously. Now that she felt like she was in control she began to act more confidently.

[7:49 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: "Dirt?" He shook his head. "Oh I assure you, I have dirt on many people, but this concerns none of them." "You see, the truth is, I'm having..." A pause for emphasis. "Girl troubles." "This this perfectly awful woman I know who invited me out to dance. Which is nice and all. But then she tried to kill me because she thought I was trying to kill her and then I told her I wasn't trying to kill her and then she tried to kill me anyway and but I survived and now I think it's for the best that I never dance with her because frankly, getting stabbed isn't very pleasant." Lucifel let out a deep breath. "Don't you hate it when that happens? But here we are." He held up the book. "Regardless, she piqued my interest, so I figured I might as well learn more about the art." He narrowed his eyes. "I feel I should emphasize I have no intention of ever dancing with said murderous individual."

[3:26 PM] Cyber | Back to Normal: "..." Millie's face slacked from smug to disappointed. So uncool... Millie could totally understand the temptation to stab Lucifel. He was a rather stabbable person. It was a miracle she hadn't whacked him in the head with her training stick back in the forest. "Well for starters I don't think it had anything to do with your... ineptness of dancing." She eyed Lucifel up and down but didn't see any visible stab marks so she supposed it wasn't that back. "Did you say anything to make her think you were trying to kill her? Maybe like, I'm the head intelligence of Rettati and I can send an army of bounty hunters your way and have you killed?" She said the last part in a deep and mocking tone, her hand supporting her chin atop the armchair rest. Learning that Lucifel had been stabbed made her feel better, and she now sported a very smug, shit eating grin.(edited)
[11:35 PM] Ego Engine Deallocated: Lucifel shot her a look out of the corner of his eye before sighing. "I should have known better than to expect you to lend a sympathetic ear." The young man rubbed his brow in consternation, before standing up and stretching. "This is why I tend not to open up to people. They'll just use the opportunity to mock you." he muttered under his breath. After proffering a halfhearted wave, the information broker exited the library, stopping only to check out his book. Army of bounty hunters? Damn, I wish I could toss something like that on my expense report. A smile flickered on his face as Lucifel made his way to his room. A shame the guys up top are so stingy with my budget...
