Millie whistled from where she sat next to the convoy. She had gotten the news that they might be leaving soon and wanted to make sure eveything she had was organized.
Sword, vulnary, water...
She packed most her gear into her bag, and cleaned the sheath of Inpenetrable Deluge. She had forged this blade back in Niciri in preparation, and was rather proud of it. The serrated tip gleamed elegantly in the early morning sun, and the sound of seagulls could be heard in the distance.
"Hmm?"
As she sorted through her things she found the aqua glyph she had found earlier. She considered applying it to her sword, but she wanted to learn how to do it herself. Ignatius and Seed were huge help, but she still felt a bit nervous.

[8:39 PM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Miranda was smelling around the camp in the fine afternoon sun. She had noticed something off for a while now while they were travelling, but she just couldn't put her finger on it.
Something has changed and I don't like it! She thought as she continued her hunt among the camp.
As Miranda wandered a little outside of the main area, she noticed a girl sitting looking idly at her sword. Hmm, has a new friend joined us and I never noticed? Maybe I stay too far away from camp for too long.
"Heya, Whatcha lookin' at?" She waved as she called out.
[8:53 PM] cybershadowX: Millie sheathed her sword and strapped it to her back. The glyphing seemed to be fine so she had left it alone. Perhaps she would redo the etchings later.

The girl turned to track the source of the voice, a red haired canine laguz.
"Oh, Hi!"
She awkwardly picked up her sword and stuff before setting it down again. She wasn't really expecting anyone this early in the morning so she was caught a bit off guard.
"I-I was just inspecting my gear. I don't think we've met before, I'm Millie!"
She wipes her hand with a cloth and extends her hand to shake.

[9:17 PM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Miranda tilts her head at the gesture. Ah yes, the hand shake, I remember. She extends her hand and aggressively reciprocates the shake. "My name is Miranda! I didn't see you join our group, I suppose I've been away for a little while so I suppose it's not really that surprising!" Miranda almost bounced as she spoke, new friends are so exciting, and she certainly loves exciting things!
Her tail wagged cautiously as she pondered to herself out loud. "I was sniffing around a strange smell around camp and I ran into you." Miranda furled her brow and put a finger to her chin. "But I suppose that issue can wait. What brings you to our group!" She was snapped back into focus with Millie and stared intently for an answer.
[9:31 PM] cybershadowX: The laguz probably greet each other differently I suppose.
Miranda's energetic handshake had surprised her and she stuffed it into her jacket pocket.
"Saarva was recruiting and I applied."
Millie nodded at her gear and slung her bag over her back.
"Since Zain said we may be moving soon I decided that it would be a good time to get my stuff organized and packed."
She couldn't help but sneak a glance at the fluffy tail again.(edited)
[9:37 PM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "Oh, you talked to dragon guy too. He was pretty neat, huh?" Miranda reminisced about her life before the adventure, but they had such a steady rhythm in The Pack that she had gotten used to being constantly in motion.
"Luckily, I pack pretty lightly so I just need my weapon and the clothes on my back!" Miranda beamed at Millie and wagged her tail more energetically.

Millie blushed and turned away. She had met a few Laguz in Niciri and Zain but most were pretty accustomed to Beorc manners so the newcomer caught her by surprise. She had wanted a dog as a child but her parents refused.
[10:21 PM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "Don't be worried, I just like playing around a little bit!" Miranda giggled and slapped Millie on the back.
"Still this new smell is bothering me, it's almost like..." She trails off and appears to be deep in thought about whatever is bothering her. She seems visibly frustrated like she can't quite put her finger on something.

I don't smell bad do I? I swear I took a bath yesterday!
She resisted the urge to give herself a sniff. Even if it was just her sensitive nose but Millie was really worried about smelling bad.
[10:40 PM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "Ooooh.....OHHHH!" Miranda suddenly shouted out. "It IS you, you're the one that smells different, because you're new!" She stood up straight and looked very proud of herself for solving the very intense riddle.
"Hmmm, but you didn't come alone did you?" She tilted her head and looked at Millie inquisitively. "I can barely tell it, but we have more new friends than just you, right?"

Millie did her best to hold in her embarrasment.
It's just because she's a canine Laguz relax...
Now that her new friend had mentioned it she had come with Namaka. Theu hadn't talked much but she supposed her smell would be here.
"Namaka also came with me, but I don't see her around."
She looked around in the convoy but didn't know what she was looking for.
[11:21 PM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "Na-ma-ka" Miranda traced the words in the air and tried to remember the name really hard.
"Okay!" She stood tall and proud. "Is there something you're looking for? I might be able to help you find it!" She tapped her nose and grinning at Mille. "Or maybe you just like the sight of nature, like I do."

She turns away from the convoy and takes a seat on a nearby stump.
"But enough about me. What's your name?"
[10:30 PM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Miranda cocked her head in confusion. "I told you already it's Miranda, but I guess we've said a lot so maybe you forgot, or you were too focused on my tail!"
Miranda laughed and continued on. "I'm from Niciri, I come from a small town along the border. All the people I met as they travelled through were super nice, kinda like all the people here!"

"Oh no I'm so sorry! I didn't notice when you said that!"
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm such a klutz. It's too early in the morning for me to talk to people.
She wanted to melt into the convoy and scream.
[6:51 PM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "Hey, there's no need to get upset, it's an easy mistake to make." Miranda waved off Millie's mistake and continued to talk to her. "People around here are pretty understanding, so I think you'll be okay."

Millie managed to calm herself and looked back into the convoy again. It was sort of messy, with random bits and bobs lain around.
"So what do you think Zain has planned next?"
[7:21 PM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "I'm sure running around helping the first person he sees!" Miranda chuckles to herself. "Or at least, that's what i would do..." She trails off. Considering other actions or reason for doing things isn't exactly Miranda's forte. "I dunno, he points and I bare fangs!"

Millie looked into the convoy and looked for a place to put her bag. It looked mostly organized, but there were a few other random bits and bobs. Drinks, snacks, a few pieces of armor and weapons, and... was that a stuffed animal?
She took out what she supposed was a sheep and did her best not to drop any of the stuffing.
"What happened to you?"
[1:03 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Miranda tilted her head at the object as well then asked idly, "When did this happen?"
[1:04 AM] cybershadowX: "I have no clue, I just found it in there."
She gingerly lays the sheep on a rock and inspects the damage.
[1:08 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "It looks like it's been loved very much, it could fall apart any minute."
Miranda continued to inspect the sheep, she hadn't seen it before and usually had a good idea what was in the convoy.
[1:12 AM] cybershadowX: "Hmm."
Millie returns to the convoy and grabs a thread and needle.
"I can probably fix him, but I don't have anything to uses as stuffing."
She looks around the convoy again, but doesn't find anything suitable. Her own stuffed whale, Kiko, poked out from her backpack happily, but there was no way she was going to harm him to revive the sheep. Unlike humans, she had plenty of time.

The sound of a chicken could be heard from somewhere near the convoy. Chickens meant feathers.
"Have you ever gone hunting for chickens before Miranda?"
[1:16 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "I usually hunt bigger prey, being a Laguz." Miranda smiled thinking back to home again. "Father would take me out to hunt boars and the like, but some of the Beorc back home would take care of chickens."
She tapped her finger on her chin then excitedly called out, "There's always a first time for everything!"

Millie crouched low behind a rock as she stalked the chicken with her knife in hand. The chicken was quite the specimen, brown and fat, possibly even 12 pounds. That would definitely have enough feathers for some stuffing and provide a good meal. Whispering to Miranda,
"You cover the other side, and when I give out the signal, we both jump at it at the same time."
[1:23 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Miranda steadied herself on the ground in the bushes, rearing back and waiting for the signal from Millie.
[1:29 AM] cybershadowX: Millie took out a piece of bread and threw it at the chicken.
Cmon, come to momma.
The chicken jumped at the sight of flying bread, flapping it's wings in panic.
"Cluck?!"
It stared at the piece of bread curiously. What was this white and soft shape? Did it taste good? She bent down and pecked at the bread, before taking it all and wolfing it down.
Good girl.
Millie took out another piece of bread and waved it at the chicken. It tilted it's head at Millie, before strutting over and taking the piece from her hand. She didn't want to signal yet, since it might startle the chicken.
[1:33 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Miranda was now a large dog, wagging her tail impatiently for the signal to pounce on the chicken.

[1:35 AM] cybershadowX: Millie continued to feed the chicken her bread for a few minutes, until she ran out. The chicken was rather friendly, and didn't seem scared of her at all. She would even let Millie pet her back. She noticed Miranda wagging her tail in the bush, and remembered what she said about chickens.
"Some of the Beorc back home would take care of chickens."
And she realized.
I don't have the heart to kill this chicken.
[1:45 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Miranda had waited long enough, she emerged from her hiding spot a flurry of fur and teeth. she bounded towards the chicken, but Millie had lured the chicken quite a distance with the bread.
"RURURURURURU"
[1:47 AM] cybershadowX: Millie jumped as Miranda bounded for the chicken, which flapped it's wings frantically at the sound. Millie wanted to save the chicken but it was too late. Miranda was closer to the chicken than her and she could do nothing about it.
[1:51 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Something clicked for Miranda as she bound toward her poor feathered friend. Oh right, the feathers.
She leapt onto the chicken but did not bite down on it, she merely trapped it between her paws in front of her and gave it a couple licks for good measure, then looked up to Millie expectantly and tilted her head.
[1:53 AM] cybershadowX: Millie sighed with relief as once Miranda had caught the chicken. The chicken, on the other hand, was very displeased with it's circumstance and flailed wildly with Miranda's grasp.
"Well, uh, thanks I guess."
Millie wasn't sure if Miranda wanted to eat the chicken or she just liked to hunt. If she wanted to eat it Millie would have a bit of trouble trying to explain that they went through all the trouble just to get a new friend.
[1:59 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Did I do good?
The chicken was quite upset at it's predicament, but Miranda paid it no mind. She expected to strip its feathers since it seemed like that is what Millie wanted to do before, but she was acting differently now.
Miranda tilted her head from one side to another, expecting something else to happen.
[2:02 AM] cybershadowX: "Nice job Miranda."
She instinctively gave Miranda a pat on the head, just like with the nice dog that lived near her apartment back in Niciri.
"So uh..."
She twirled a bit of hair awkwardly.
"Did you want to eat the chicken or..."
She looked at the chicken in the eye, who looked back with an almost horrified expression.
"We could bring it back...? Maybe it'll lay a few eggs?"
[2:04 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Eat it?
Miranda shifted back into her human shape and lay on the ground, still maintaining a hold on the chicken.
"I just wanted to catch it, I thought you had a plan for it, but now you're just gonna take care of it?" She looked surprisingly at Millie. "I didn't know you knew how."

I mean, it can't be that hard. Right?
"I think so. She seems to like bread a lot, and I don't mind cleaning up after her."
The chicken was also rather alarmed at Miranda's sudden transformation, and struggled again.
"CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK."
I wonder if the convoy people would mind...
[2:09 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "Well at this point, it certainly likes you a whole lot more than it likes me!" She looked down at her new feathered 'friend'. "Or I could just let it go, it would probably sprint if I wasn't so heavily on top of it.
[2:11 AM] cybershadowX: Millie gingerly extracted the chicken from Miranda's grasp, who oddly didn't seem to resist. It clucked, and sat itself in Millie's lap contentedly, but gave Miranda a watchful stare.
"I wonder what we should name her?"
This was perhaps not the greatest idea. Naming anything that could be killed, eater, or run away was never a good idea.
[2:15 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: "I've never really named anything, plus it's not gonna have anything to do with me."
She shrugged at Millie and wagged her tail expectantly, waiting for an answer for the name of this sweet little chicken.

[2:18 AM] cybershadowX: Millie reached out and gave Miranda another pat on the head.

"Cmon, lets go back to the convoy. I promise I'll cook something for you when we get back."
She picks up the heavy chicken, and looks towards the convoy.
[2:22 AM] Sir Borkington | Ris: Miranda enjoyed her head pats, although a little more awkward in human form, she decided not to press the issue.
At the sound of food Miranda was on her feet and quickly behind Millie. "So you cook and you can take care of chickens I guess you're pretty resourceful, huh?"
[2:24 AM] cybershadowX: I have no clue how to take care of chickens but I hope I can figure it out.
"Ahahaha, I guess."
She chuckled happily as she headed back towards the convoy. She could get stuffing for dolly later.
