"The Illiterate and the Ornery?"

[6:40 PM] TastyChicken12: === Start RP === Kiera was going around the hotel, trying to view what else it had to offer. Their dining hall was impressive (by Kiera's standards at the very least), and the rooms comfortable. She eventually found a sort of library, noticeable by a large quantity of bookshelves. The Fighter walked up to the librarian. "Pardon me, Ma'am? Do ya got anythin'... easy to read? Like... somethin' that... teaches... letters..." "Sure! Over there, in the kids' section." "Thank ya!" Kiera walks over to were the librarian pointed, embarrassed. She immediately forgot her embarrassment when she happened to see a pile of toys near the kids' section, and got the sudden urge to play with them. Not in public! You're here ta learn letters, right? She shook her head and went back to the counter to twiddle her thumbs. The Fighter managed to confuse herself already...

[6:46 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: Zain, despite his wishes, was actually in the library at the same time. At his side, the wolf was carrying a book entitled 'Laguz Cuisine: The Ultimate Guide.' It was a thin white book, and he wasn't very pleased that he had to be the one taking it out of the library... at least he could explain that it wasn't for him Upon hearing some ruckus, the wolf turned a corner around a bookshelf and saw one of the newest members of the group in... the pup's section. "Kiera? What are you doing here?"

[6:48 PM] TastyChicken12: "Oh! Zain. Hi!" She looked about with her purple eyes. Embarrassment seemed inevitable at this point.

[6:52 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "What are you doing in the little pup's section? You're an investigator, not a... whatever you're acting as," even if the words seemed a bit annoyed at first, Zain's tone wasn't any more strict or angry than usual. He leaned up against a bookcase across from the table where Kiera was sitting and put the book on top of it so he didn't have to carry it.

[6:55 PM] TastyChicken12: "C-Cap'n? Er... well... I uh, I wanted to get a book that teaches letters," she answers with a headscratch.

[7:01 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Oh. Fair enough, I guess. Gotta admit, I'm not the best at this whole Millo thing either, compared to lotsa people," the wolf yawned, "It bores me."

[7:02 PM] TastyChicken12: "The what language? The who people?"

[7:13 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: 'What?' "Y'know, the language everyone uses... and the everyone who uses it. Well, except my people, but that's an explanation for later," explained Zain, who glanced at the book Kiera was reading for the first time. Even he could understand that much.

[7:15 PM] TastyChicken12: "Normal talk, that's what it's called. I didn't know it had a specific name."

[7:26 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "People call it Millo, but I guess 'normal talk' is good enough," responded Zain, "Either way, you wanna know at least some of it. Like, I'm not an expert or anything but I've learned enough."(edited)

[7:27 PM] TastyChicken12: "I see. So, uh, is there anothuh language?"

[7:36 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Yeah, there is. I wouldn't worry about that one right now. Just focus on your letters there," he motioned towards the book of letters Kiera was reading from on the table. 'A is for Ayzer' the page said.

[8:16 PM] TastyChicken12: "A... the letter A. I reckon that's in my name, somewhere. Know how to write my name, at least."

[10:01 AM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Yeah, it does. Not the same 'a' yours has. They sound different," Zain responded dully and now somewhat bored of the simple topic. She'll learn eventually.

[12:43 PM] TastyChicken12: "Different... okay. Uh. Say, let's get outta here, somewhere less for kids."

[3:59 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: Zain nodded, "There's a table over there for you," the wolf pointed in the direction from which he came from. "But myself, I needa check out this book and get it to Himaya," he shook his head, "Dunno why he needs this stupid one. Whatever, I guess."

[4:01 PM] TastyChicken12: "Okay, I'll wait for ya over there."

[4:02 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "I'll come back later after I drop this off at his room and see how you're doin'," Zain picked up the book and made his way out of the kid's area and to the desk to check out the cookbook.

[4:04 PM] TastyChicken12: "Righty, then," she said with a slight pout. Is he treatin' me like a kid? "Heya, Zain? Can I ask somethin' before ya go?"

[4:05 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: He looked back, turned around, and nodded.

[4:12 PM] TastyChicken12: "Where ya from?"

[4:22 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Ramalia, high-ranking officer of the Royal Guard," Zain responded bluntly.

[4:25 PM] TastyChicken12: "Heeeeey, same! We're countrymen!"

[4:42 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: He nodded again, "Didn't expect that. Mostly only us Wolves live in Ramalia."

[5:03 PM] TastyChicken12: "Couple of us Beorc hangin' around, to."

[5:36 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Never noticed, to be honest," he was started to get a little impatient, but didn't let it show in his tone, word choice, or manner.(edited)

[11:16 PM] TastyChicken12: "Not many of us, but I remember back in the village, we had guys to, uh, go visit Laguz areas to trade and stuff. But more on that later, you seem busy, I reckon," she thought.

[11:17 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: Zain nodded yet again, "Yeah, really gotta go. Bye," and with that, he finally headed to go do what he said he was going to do. (That took much longer than it needed to...)

[11:22 PM] TastyChicken12: "Wasn't all the friendly," she muttered. Kiera simply shrugged and left. Maybe he was in a bad mood. Regardless, in some shame, she checked out the book and scurried back to her room.
