[11:05 AM] Turtleye: The sun was already starting to sink beneath the horizon when Daniël finally headed back to the barracks. On his back, he carried a large sack containing that which he had sought after today and the days before -- armor for Florian. Granted, it wasn't of very good quality, but it was batter than nothing and the smithy let him have it for free. Phew. despite the fact that this armor is supposed to be very lightweight, it's still pretty heavy. I hope Florian can carry it without getting too exhausted. he thought, letting out a sigh. Then again, I'm not very strong. he added. I should really look at my physical strength if we're going to fight more people on this investigation. After what seemed like an eternity, he finally rounded the corner to see the building where he, along with the other members of The Pack, was staying.(edited)

[11:37 AM] Best (Angery) Birb | Sky: Himaya was taking himself out on a nice walk. He was happily humming to himself, enjoying what he can in Nicousa. He had noticed a member of The Pack rounding a corner towards the building everyone else was staying. He hurries to the door and holds it open for him. "Heyyy... Samuel?" Himaya had said, not quite remembering the member's name correctly. He took a guess at something that sounded close. "Whatcha doin' with that big sack on yer back? Found any special goodies?" He said was a grin and a wag of his tail.

[11:59 AM] Turtleye: Daniël looked up, as he'd been hunched over from carrying Florian's armor. Himaya stood in front of him, holding open the door. Flustered for a moment because he thought Himaya wasn't talking to him, he looked behind him, expecting someone named "Samuel". Daniël then realised that Himaya was in fact adressing him. but the branded had misremembered his name. Seems like a Himayan thing to do. "Hey there, Himaya. The name's Daniël, not Samuel." he corrected him with a smile. "Thanks for helping me out. This sack's pretty heavy for me." Daniël stepped inside the building and carefully attempted to put his load on the ground. A loud clunk could be heard. I really have to be more careful with this, it's already very flimsy he scolded himself. "Ah, yes, this is some armor for Florian. I figured I really needed to get him something in case we wind up in battle again like on Arbor Aureolis. Both me and Florian usually don't fight, you see. I would rather fight using speech than using actual weapons."(edited)

[2:08 PM] Best (Angery) Birb | Sky: "Ah, sorry, sorry, I knew that!" Himaya said in response to being corrected with Daniël's name. "But uh, no problemo! Happy to help!" He said as he continued to hold the door. Before he could offer help carrying it, he has already set it on the floor with a clunk. "Oh yeah that makes sense. Perhaps when we get s'more Leafs we can invest in better armor. I'd hate to see either of you hurt. Especially if there's arrows!" Himaya remarked as he inspected the flimsy armor. "It's too bad you aren't a heron, they fight with their words all the time! And help people. Actually those special words can do all sorts of cool things." Himaya explained with a hand gesture holding his hand wide and apart, showing the vast amount of things they could do.

[2:55 PM] Turtleye: "Agreed. Once we go to a different part of Laqueos, I can probably find a proper blacksmith for pegasus armor. None of the smiths here had any meaningful experience on pegasus armor, although one of them was kind enough to help me out.." Daniël quickly peeked at the armor to ensure it didn't break when he dropped it. To his relief, it seemed to be okay. "Haha. Indeed, herons can use words in a way that fascinates me. However, I believe that the fact that I do not have access to such capabilities pushed me to become better." Daniël drifted off for a bit, thinking about the times he'd unsuccesfully returned to the Nicirian council. "You seem to be really impressed by herons, Himaya" Daniël continued. "I usually don't see many Branded outside of Niciri that like the Laguz -- or Beorc, for that matter."

[3:54 PM] Best (Angery) Birb | Sky: "Well yeah! I am part heron after all!" Himaya said as his face gleamed. "Most wolf Laguz," he continued "but I am a bit of heron. I'm not on how much, but it's there in my blood. I've never lived with them, so they interested me a lot. Before starting on this journey of ours, I've never met an actual heron, only heard songs and stories of them by my Dad. But after chatting with our residental heron, Caba, I know a smidge more. I know plenty about wolves, but not a whole bunch on herons, so it was nice." he explained. "But yeah, I don't personally see why we can't all get along. If the wolves can accept me among them, I don't see why I shouldn't accept everyone else."

[4:21 PM] Turtleye: "I see. So you're not a first generation Branded then. Interesting. So that is why a pair of ears appeared along with your tail during the battle at the Money Tree. I've met quite a few second generation Branded, but I've never been told about them having ears, tails or other Laguz traits." This reminded Daniël about that one time where he met a girl from Niciri. Something seemed... weird about her facial structure. Perhaps she was also a Branded such as Himaya. Interesting, for sure. "Branded have always been a rather, lets say, sensitive topic." Daniël responded. "A lot of communities highly value respect towards their fellow Laguz, Beorc or whichever race they are part off. So when a Branded is born, often they are seen as an insult to their parents' community or communities. I really wish people would accept each other for the way they are, but it'll take time for this to happen, although it is not impossible. Niciri is a prime example of this." Daniël said proudly. "Just out of interest, is there a specific reason the wolves haven't turned a blind eye to you, which is what often happens to Branded offspring?"(edited)

[4:32 PM] Best (Angery) Birb | Sky: "Well... I think you're half right. It depends how ya mean..." Himaya said with his hand now on his chin. "I suppose by heron standards, I'm not a first generation Branded. But by wolf standards, I'm fairly sure that I am. Y'see, my Dad is a heron branded. My Mama is a Wolf Laguz. I know that two Laguz cannot really... go together... but somehow or another I'm here. Something weird just happened and I think that's why I have the ears and tail. But it's nice havin' 'em." he said with a smile, making his ears move and his tail wag. "But about that..." he said, responding to the racism aspect "I've yet to have anything bad happen t' me, but I've heard stories and warning tales. It's why I choose to cover up my ears and tail sometimes... I don't wanna get you guys hurt by being associated with me because of what I am. I'd say I'm lucky being from Ramalia. They're guaranteed to be kind to anyone with wolf blood: full Laguz or Branded."(edited)

[10:32 AM] Turtleye: "Ah, you're from Ramalia. I thought I heard something along those lines but I wasn't quite sure. But yes, the Ramalian Laguz seem to be quite allright with accepting of Branded with Wolf Laguz." Daniël furrowed his brow. "It is rather unfortunate that one feels the need to hide their tails and ears out of fear of racism. It would be so much easier if people didn't have any prejudices towards people. Perhaps we wouldn't even be on this investigation of that would be the case. But I suppose it's a neccesary evil to prevent people from not being cautious enough." He sighed. "Anyway," Daniël continued. "I didn't want to start about racism, but I'm afraid I've already one that. Have you been able to find out anything about the attack on Arbor Aureolis while we were here? I'm afraid I haven't been able to do so, although many of the townspeople seemed to be very upset about the whole ordeal. Especially because Rettati is one of the suspects since the attack came from this direction."(edited)

[5:16 PM] Best (Angery) Birb | Sky: "Yeah, o' course I'd love not to hide. But a Branded can never be too careful, that's what my parents always said. Heh, Mama always said the wolf in me would surface if anyone meant anything serious." he said with a laugh. "Nah, I'm afraid I got no idea, t' be honest. That fiery charm we picked up got me thinking we should go visit the fire people. Kano, I believe? Yeah, that's it. But Zain convinced me that we'd need to go through Rettati regardless. So here we are. We're just gonna see where this takes us, y'know?" Himaya said with a shrug. He wasn't exactly certain what they'd gain being here, but he figured that if Zain thought they should be here, surely it'd be helpful.(edited)

[9:19 AM] Turtleye: "That's too bad. Seems like our stop here in Nicousa hasn't been very fruitful. Although I still enjoyed my time here. It certainly is a nice location for a break after our last fight." I gotta say, I haven't thought about the pendant we picked up after the battle. He thought to himself. "Those charms, right. I must admit, they haven't really crossed my mind since we arrived here. But indeed, you make a valid point that we should probably look into them more. Some of the Kano might indeed know more about what exactly it is and what it does. But I guess that, untill Saarva sends us to Mount Fotia, we won't be able to find out more specifcs about the thing."(edited)

[12:55 PM] Best (Angery) Birb | Sky: "Yeah, it's a shame but it's what the big cheeses want, so I'll play along and help with what I can. But yeah, I'd love to actually go to Mt. Kano , err, Fotia you said? Yeah, there. I'd love to go there and see if they have anything to do with it. Perhaps I should ask our own Kano first? That seems like a better idea how that think about it..." Himaya said with his thinking face. He wasn't always the kind of person to come up with bright ideas often on the first try. Logic wasn't always his strong suit, he'd always rather go with his heart or gut has to say.

[6:04 PM] Turtleye: "Well I figured that everyone saw the pendant, so if either Ayer or Relgia would have known something about them, they'll have already reported that to Zain." Daniël shrugged. "Maybe I shouldn't have assumed so." Seemingly out of nowhere, Daniëls stomach let out a lout growl. "Oh, I totally forgot! I've been so busy this entire evening, I haven't eaten a proper dinner yet. I should probably look into that after I drop off the armor." Daniël said, scratching his head. "It's probably too late now to see if it fits Florian properly, so I'll have to see about that tomorrow. He hoisted the bag with armor on his back, almost losing his balance in the process due to the weight, and turned back to Himaya. "I'll be seeing you then, Himaya!"

[7:55 PM] Best (Angery) Birb | Sky: "Aww that's too bad. I'll have to see how it fits Florian later, won't I? Haha" Himaya said with a chuckle, slightly disappointed. "Oh if you need any Leafs for some dinner, don't be afraid t' holler, alright? I'd happily toss ya a small pile if ya need it. Can't have the pack be hungry if I can help it!" Himaya said as he waved him off

[8:41 PM] Turtleye: "Feel free to come by tomorrow if you can find the time. I'll likely be in the stables after breakfast" Daniël answered, noticing the slight disappointment. "I'll be fine with my current amount of leafs, but thanks for the offer anyway, I appreciate it" Daniël gave a small wave, turned around and left to the stables. =====END RP=====
