"Heya guys! Looks like we've managed to get... an okay audience out today, haven't we? Heh, well today I'll be performing a song... But not just any song!" Himaya exclaims with a dramatic pause, as one of his ears twitches, the light of the silvery patches of his fur dimly glinting in the sunlight.
"...I'll be singing the only magical song I know that works for me. It was passed down for generations upon generations upon generations of herons until one day: my Dad taught it t' me when I was just a wee pup myself. It took a while for me to get it down-pat, but I finally was able to do it! This shocked my parents. They didn't think a branded like me could even do it! But I can! And I did! I sure showed them... And I'll be showing y'all today, right before your eyes!" he says, extending his arms to the audience and motioning it across them, looking around the room.
Himaya was excited to show off his abilities, so during the entire explanation and context, his fluffy tail was wagging behind him in anticipation.
"St-stop it, you" he whispered to his own tail once he realized it's been wagging like crazy now. It listened to his orders, but only because he had to consciously stop it from wagging, which was harder than you'd think to do.
Ahem
He clears his throat and stands still, as the room fell silent in waiting. He closes his eyes and begins to sing in Pallo in a lovely voice, the sound filling the entire room.
♪♪ "(The world is a lovely place
With it's many a lovely space
However, it can't be so lovely everywhere...)" ♪♪
♪♪ "(There comes a time for those to hide
A length of time that they must bide
For they are feared, yet the ones who hold fear the most...)"♪♪
♪♪ "(Changing, changing, it's a burden they must bare
Ranging, ranging, the cost of living scared)" ♪♪
♪♪ "(Having a life without judgement, their one true desire
Having to sacrifice their image, their song in a choir
Having peace and serenity, their goal to acquire)" ♪♪
♪♪ "(So they paint themselves an image with hopeful deceit and a song...)" ♪♪
One could probably tell, but the words seemed to be memorized, ingrained into his very existence. He wasn't good at improvising Pallo on the spot, but he could memorize songs in them, and understand Pallo, for sure.
Throughout the entirety of the song, his ears and tails's silvery patches began progressively glowing brighter and brighter, until the last word was sung, when they disappeared almost in a cloud of glowing smoke.
Once he was done, he bowed, thanked the audience through a polite round of applause, and calmly walked to join the audience, so he could patiently watch the other performances. Once there, he tried his best to not notice all the eyes watching him, confused and dumbfounded.
