Saarva had just finished an interview not long ago. He was waiting a bit for the next applicant to show up. He gazed at his watch, watching the seconds tick away, baby stepping-closer to the estimated time of arrival.
"(Dang, still have a few minutes left)" he said to himself in Pallo.
To pass the time, he tried to tap his finger on the desk to the offbeat of the tick tock of his watch. He never quite got it down, but he was trying his best.
[7:32 PM] TastyChicken12: A knock at the door was made audible. It was neither loud nor quiet, simply normal. Outside, the Fighter inhaled deeply as she crookedly smiled.
Okay, here's my chance to impress! Come on, Kiera, you can do it! I know you can!

He was still tapping on the desk when he heard the knock.
"(Wonderful)" he said as he straightened up in his chair.
"Please, please, do come right in!" he called to the person on the other side of the door.
"If you happen to be Miss Kiera, then by all means take a seat." he said politely as he gestured to the makeshift seat on the other side of the desk, just a plain crate.(edited)
[7:41 PM] TastyChicken12: Kiera opened the door and poked her head into the office as her eyes wandered about the room for a moment. Eventually they focused back on Saarva.
"Oh! Yep, that's me. Kiera!"
Whoa... is he... is he really a Laguz?
She smiled at the thought of finally being able to meet the people that she had heard about for so long. At his request, Kiera walked in a few steps and bowed. Having little else in the way of formal clothes, the young mother wore only a pair of simple, brown boots, and a plain dark blue dress that went past her knees.
"Right there, okay?" she asked while pointing to the crate.

Surprised to see me 
"Why yes, right there is fine." Saarva said, amused that she would politely double check where to sit. He could detect some amusement, or perhaps excitement on her face and in her voice when her eyes fell upon him, and noted this.
"Now, let us begin, shall we? Please, could you tell me any skills you have that would prove to benefit our investigation?"
He readied his pen for the response, dipping the feather pen into the inkwell a good couple times.
Surprised to see me
"Why yes, right there is fine." Saarva said, amused that she would politely double check where to sit. He could detect some amusement, or perhaps excitement on her face and in her voice when her eyes fell upon him, and noted this.
"Now, let us begin, shall we? Please, could you tell me any skills you have that would prove to benefit our investigation?"
He readied his pen for the response, dipping the feather pen into the inkwell a good couple times.
[7:52 PM] TastyChicken12: "Well, I get along well with others, so I think that not havin' any conflicts would be a good thing, definitely. I suppose I also could swing an axe pretty swell, though I've not met so many experienced soldiers to really compare myself too. All in all, I just am willin' to help where-ever and bring along some positivity, eh?"
She sat down and smiled all throughout her explanation of her modest skills.
"Bein' back home they made us learn this stuff, I can help out with a lot of them ordinary tasks. Choppin' wood, buildin' shelters, startin' fires, cookin' up meals. Anythin' really!"

"That'll all surely come in handy." Saarva comments with a nod, noting what she had said.
"Say, would you mind sharing with me why you've chosen to come here? Your application says you hail from Ramalia. We've already two competent lead investigators from there, so I'm a bit curious, you could say."
Saarva was referring to Zain and Himaya of course. And there wasn't a note saying she was sent by Queen Malika herself.(edited)

[8:02 PM] TastyChicken12: "Oh! Well, I came for two big reasons. For one thin', I've got to help pay the bills back home with the drought going on in Manx. My hometown. I also heard that Ramalia was apart of this whole expedition, and I've nev'r met any of my countrymen. Laguz countrymen. I always wanted to learn about these other races I've been hearin' about since I were a young girl. They always seemed so cool, and so different compared to plain ol' Beorc like me. Ain't too many of us in Ramalia."
She tilted her head and squinted slightly before they widened again.
Huh. If he is a Laguz, he ain't like the ones they taught about back home.

"Ah yes, there aren't quite that many Beorc in Ramalia. It's mostly wolves, but there's a significant enough of an amount of Beorc and Branded. They usually stick to their own tribes, however, from what I've gathered."
"And you've said you've never met a Laguz? In Ramalia of all places? Well, that'd explain that look on your face earlier..." he said, with a small laugh.
Haven't met Laguz before

"I'm honored to be the first, since that seems to be the case." Saarva replied.
"Now for our final question: have you any worries about joining the investigation I should know about beforehand?"(edited)

"I can't think of any. I just want to be able to help out, do my part for the world, and come back home safe. Hope it ain't too much to ask, as all. Is it bad that I can't write and read all that good? It's hard for me. Like other things, I'm willin' to learn if I need to! I want to, anyhow," she nodded and promised.

[8:30 PM] TastyChicken12: Kiera nods and hums to herself a song of old from Manx as she hops out of the room and back to the inn. As she left, she pulls out a small locket from her pack with a sketch of her little baby son and hugged it.
