Interview RP: Sally, the Branded Thief

Cast: Saarva (Mappy) & Sally (Nerf)

[7:55 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: Interview RP: Sally - @Nerf Seems to be the final interview for the day, Saarva sighed a sigh of relief... he was pretty tired at this point from the countless hours of work that came with keeping this whole show running. He idly flipped the page and scanned the application, but didn't put too much thought into its contents, "A thief, huh? Could be useful." He drank a glass of cold water to attempt to wake himself up before the interview starts.

[8:02 PM] Nerf: From the other side of the door, Sally made sure to go over what little she had managed to learn about Saarva in the time before the interview. In hindsight, taking all that trouble just to learn a couple things about her interviewer was probably unnecessary, but she just couldn't help it. In any case, having some extra information to use couldn't hurt her. Saarva. Youngest of the Drakone. Quite capable, but somewhat inexperienced. Likes to handle all interviews personally. Seems to have a strange love for candy. Oh, and he likes punctuallity, of course. Just one minute before the appointed time, two knocks could be heard on the door to Saarva's office, followed by a feminine voice. "May I come in? I believe I have an interview scheduled here."(edited)

[8:06 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Ah, you're early! Welcome - you're Sally, correct? If so, then you do have an interview scheduled here," he seemed to be a bit more lively now, "Take a seat across from me and we'll get started in a few moments." Let the notetaking begin! Punctuality

[8:12 PM] Nerf: "Yes, that would be me. I take it you are Saarva then? It's a pleasure" After extending her hand for a handshake, Sally took seat in the box Saarva had just pointed at, crossing one leg over the other. "Oh. By the way, before we start..." She pulled a fancy box from outside her pouch, and after opening it she offered it to Saarva, who would come to see some brightly colored sweets inside. "...would you fancy a candy? They are a local speciality from Naxos. Quite tasty if I am allowed to say that."

[8:17 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Naxos makes candy? I never would have guessed, to be honest with you," Saarva examined the candy, "Well, don't mind if I do." The dragon reached out for the candy, grabbing a a purple gummi candy from the box, Well this will be a good sugar rush, he popped it into his mouth. After swallowing it, he added, "Grape. That was actually pretty good. Thank you." Generosity Candy "Shall we continue then? What are some of your finest abilities and talents that you'd bring to the table for our squad?"

[8:27 PM] Nerf: "Going straight to the point, uh? I like that. Well, from what I understand, the goal of this expedition is to gather information on the attack to the Money Tree. I happen to have been working on the information business for years, so you could say this job is right up my alley. It's one thing to inspect the place of the attack and question the representatives of the suspected nations, but if you want to find concrete answers you need a little more than that. People who know what kinds of clues to look for and where to find them, I guess you could say. I hope you' ll forgive me if I'm being arrogant here, but when it comes to that, I doubt you'll find someone more capable than me."

[8:33 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "So you'd consider yourself an investigator of sorts already, huh? That sounds quite useful, though we do have quite a few applicants like that. However, you seem to be fairly confident in your abilities to do so." Investigation skills Confident "So where exactly does all of this experience come from? How can I trust your word here, so to speak."

[8:42 PM] Nerf: "I briefly mentioned it on my application, but selling information is how I make a living. I guess you could say I'm a sort of...well, uh... freelance spy? Or the leader of a band of freelancing spies, if that makes sense. Basically, we take jobs from people who want to find some hard to gather information in exchange for a modest fee. We are fairly well known in Naxos, but I guess this isn't so true when you go outside of the country." As she speaks, she casually starts playing with a strand of hair that has just fallen into her face. "In any case, it seems like we are at least good enough for whoever attacked the tree to see us as a threat. Ever since I ordered some of my men to start looking behind the incident, our band has been the target of some mysterious attacks. I don't have any concrete proof, but I believe both of these things to be related to each other."

[8:48 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Your band has been the target of some mysterious and unprecedented attacks as of late? That is quite odd..." He considered the situation briefly while taking a few notes on the response: Spy-iness Common goal "What do you believe has caused your band to the target of some these 'attacks?' Do you perhaps believe it is just due to your band's publicity or prestige? Maybe a rival wants to take you down? And if any of those are true, why do you think that ties in with the attack on Arbor Aurelius?"

[8:59 PM] Nerf: She moves in her seat, pondering about it for a few seconds before answering: "I won't deny there's a possibility of this being just the work of a rival band that has decided to go against us. There are a bunch of people who don't see our success with good eyes. The sole idea of someone being succesful by using his brain instead of his brawn is seen as an insult to them by some mercenary bands in Naxos, you know how things are there. But...I don't think it's likely. I have a good amount of insiders working for me in some of the most prominent bands in the country, and the smaller ones don't have the capability to do something like that. If it was their work, it shouldn't have been too hard for me to find the evidence I need." Leaning forward in her seat, she looks straight at Saarva "But, more than that, the timing is too convenient. The attacks started right after I ordered my men to look into this incident. And I had one of my informants dissapear near Rettati, just after being asked to gather some intel there. I don't think that's a coincidence."

[9:04 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: "Interesting... perhaps we do have some common grounds to work on going into this then. Working together would be very helpful for both of our parties, wouldn't it?" he thought aloud. Investigation benefits both parties Rational Saarva flipped through his notes, before adding, "Well, Sally, I think that's all the questions I have for you today; thank you for answering them," he stood up and put his hand out for a handshake.

[9:08 PM] Nerf: "Yes, I believe we could both benefit a great deal from this. I'll look forward to working with you." After returning the handshake along with a polite smile, she readied herself to leave. "You can keep the candy. Consider it a token for our future friendship." And with that, she left the interview room, not without taking a candy for herself from the jar in the room first.

[9:12 PM] Mappy | Best Dog: ... Generosity "Well, uh, I'll be saving this..." he snatched the box from the table and hid it where no applicant would attempt to steal from it. It was his candy.
